Welcome to Outside ("we," "our," or "us"). Outside is a personal project and is not a registered company or trademark. By accessing or using our website at trainingoutside.com, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Description of Service

Outside is a training and coaching platform designed for endurance athletes. Our Service provides:

  • Workout Tracking: Import and track your cycling, running, and other endurance activities
  • Training Plan Generation: AI-powered personalized training plans based on your goals and fitness level
  • Performance Analytics: Analysis of your training data including Training Stress Score (TSS), Chronic Training Load (CTL), and power/pace zones
  • Third-Party Integrations: Connect with platforms like Strava to sync your workout data
  • AI Coaching Assistant: Conversational AI to help with training questions and plan adjustments
  • Nutrition Planning: Tools for tracking and planning workout nutrition
  • Social Features: Share activities, follow other athletes, and engage with the community
  • Event Management: Plan and prepare for races and events

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. When you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Keep your password secure and confidential
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws

5. User Content

By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display such content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of posting it. You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to submit your User Content and that it does not violate any third-party rights.

6. Third-Party Integrations

The Service allows you to connect with third-party platforms such as Strava, Garmin, Wahoo, and others. When you connect a third-party account:

  • You authorize us to access and import data from that platform according to the permissions you grant
  • Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies
  • We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services
  • You may disconnect third-party integrations at any time through your account settings

7. AI-Generated Content

Our Service uses artificial intelligence to generate training plans, workout recommendations, and coaching advice. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only and should not replace professional medical or coaching advice
  • You should consult with a healthcare provider before starting any new training program
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated recommendations
  • You are responsible for evaluating and deciding whether to follow any AI-generated advice

8. Health and Safety Disclaimer

Important: The Service is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition or before starting any exercise program.

You acknowledge that physical exercise involves inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, illness, or death. You assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages that may occur as a result of your use of the Service or following any training recommendations.

9. Subscription and Payments

Certain features of the Service may require a paid subscription. If you purchase a subscription:

  • You agree to pay all applicable fees as described at the time of purchase
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel before the renewal date
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
  • Refunds are provided in accordance with our refund policy
  • We reserve the right to change subscription prices with reasonable notice

10. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are the property of the project creator. "Outside" is not a registered trademark. The Service is protected by applicable copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent. You may not reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.

11. Privacy

12. Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may request deletion of your account and associated data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the project creator and any contributors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

17. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Outside regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
